Matt Panayides Quartet — Present Echoes
Matt Panayides is a Jersey City–based guitarist, composer, and bandleader. His latest album, Present Echoes, was released August 21, 2026 on SteepleChase Records and features tenor saxophonist Rich Perry, bassist Steve LaSpina, and drummer Mark Ferber.
The quartet brings Panayides’ original compositions to the stage with lyrical melodies, adventurous improvisation, and deep ensemble interplay. Rooted in the jazz tradition while open to contemporary textures and rhythmic exploration, the music is designed for attentive listening rooms, jazz clubs, concert series, and festivals.
